As 2022 draws to a close, I’m finding myself reflecting on the mental year we’ve had. I’m slowly finding my feet and finding pockets of time where we can start properly planning and get going with the renovation. We’ve finally had our quote from our plumber for our full replumb and now we wait for dates that him and the electrician can come and sort the house out.
I’m a firm believe in building from the ground up (excuse the pun) when it comes to house renovations, there’s no point skipping cruical steps that could undo a lot of hard work later down the line and while this does mean living out of boxes for a little longer, living with no curtains, and not being able to decorate, it’s given us a lot of time to ‘live’ in the house and work out how we’re using it and what jobs are in priority order.
Today we sent our wishlist to our builder, and hope that he can get going with some of the jobs early in the New Year.
Project managing this house is a bit like a really big jigsaw puzzle, that can only be put together in a certain order, and while we feel what we have now is a solid plan – I can gurantee that it will change!
I’m hopeful that once work is underway I’ll be posting on here more regularly, and of course over on my instagram (I’d love you to follow along!)
Here are some of my favourite snaps from the 150 days we’ve been here!
